Battle Ground High bowlers are state champs

It seems that the road to high school bowling success in this state runs through Battle Ground. The BGHS girls won the Washington 4A championship last weekend (Feb. 3-4). Last year, the Prairie High girls won the 3A state title. Click "Read more" for photo and details.
This year’s state tourney was in University Place near Tacoma. The Tigers edged second-place Emerald Ridge of Puyallup 7,749 to 7,716. Sophomore Wylicia Faley, whose mother, Kim, is secretary in the school district operations department, won the individual championship. She bowled games of 227, 188, 213, 172, 212 and 224 for a total of 1,236. Second in individual total was Amanda Van Meter of Heritage, 1,170.
