Free and reduced-price meals
2012-2013 applications for free and reduced-price school meals may be sumbitted online via Family Access.
Click here for a short presentation on this easy and convenient way to submit a free or reduced-price-meal application online. Click here for "Family Access" to submit your application online. If you do not have a log-in and password for Family Access, go to your student's school office with identification and request them.
In addition, you may make payments, view payments and view meal purchases in Family Access via the "Food Service" link.
Letters to Households in English can be accessed and printed by clicking here
This letter explains how your child(ren)can get free or reduced-price meals, as well as information on other benefits. The letter can be found online in Spanish by clicking here and Russian by clicking here as well. This letter is also available in all school offices during the school year, and in the Nutrition Services office at 104 W Main Street Battle Ground, WA 98604
Free and reduced applications must be renewed at the beginning of the school year in order to ensure your student’s lunch status remains the same, unless your children have been automatically approved for free meals during the 2012-2013 school year based on his/her receipt of benefits under the Food Stamp Program (Basic Food), Temporary Assistance for Needy Family (TANF), or the Food Distribution Program of Indian Reservations (FDPIR).

USDA is now providing the free and reduced-price school meals application in 33 different languages. This has been done in an effort to facilitate program access and the communication between Program operators and households. The translated free and reduced--price dchool meals application package includes the letter to households, the free and reduced price school meals application, the notification of selection for verification of eligibility and the letter of verification results. The translated application package also includes optional materials that may be provided to households, such as sharing information with Medicaid/SCHIP and sharing information with other programs.
