Free developmental screenings offered
Date:
January 24, 2013 A free developmental screening will be offered Thursday, Jan. 24, for children ages 3 to 5 who live within the boundaries of the Battle Ground School District. Other screenings this school year will be March 27 and May 30.
The screening will include the following areas: communication skills; concepts-readiness skills; motor skills; social and behavior skills and self help-independent
skills.
A developmental screening is a valuable tool in the early identification of potential developmental delays. Screenings are conducted by a team of education professionals. Results are confidential and are shared with parents or guardians following the screenings.
Parents should call the Special Education Department at 885-5318 for more information or to schedule a screening.
