65th annual art show

The District Art Show is a tradition that began in 1959. Battle Ground High School art teacher Bob Peck,
in collaboration with Battle Ground city librarian Florence Rieck, started the show as a way to share students’ artistic talents with the community.
The District Art Show has morphed and grown over the years and is still a favorite event for students, parents, teachers and community members.

At the primary and middle school levels, students receive first, second and third-place awards, in addition to honorable mentions. At the high school level, awards are given for 2D art, 3D art, digital art/video and photography. Special awards include Best in Show, Superintendent Award, Bob Peck Award, School Board’s Choice and People’s Choice. We also have a featured art award. Awards will be announced during the May 28 school board meeting.

Voting for the People’s Choice Awards is now available! The deadline to vote is May 19.
