Employee Recognition Award

The Employee Recognition Awards highlight staff members who reflect the district’s strategic plan goals. These individuals from all roles represent their school/department and themselves in a positive manner.

Two to five nominees are selected each month between October and May and recognized at a board meeting.

Current Battle Ground, Sodexo and First Student employees are eligible if they:

  • Are approved by their supervisors and the district’s HR department
  • Have been employed by the district more than one year
  • Are currently working
  • Are not retired and will not be retired at the time of their recognition

Please complete the following form to submit a nomination. Everyone is welcome to nominate staff members.

The following criteria will be used to select award recipients:

  • Commitment to the district’s mission to support each and every student
  • Contribution to a safe and caring environment for staff and students
  • Support for the need for high-quality instruction in every classroom
  • Collaboration with others in a way that demonstrates trust and respect

Nominations are reviewed by the nominee’s supervisor and the human resources department. Approved nominations are considered by a committee of staff members for up to two months.
