Friday, March 1: All schools open on time, north school buses on snow routes

All schools are open and start at the regular time; however, all north school buses only are on snow routes due to road conditions. This includes morning pickup and end-of-day dropoff. If your snow route stop is different from your regular stop, a parent or guardian must meet a primary student at the snow route stop at the end of the day, or the student must have a note on file with the school office to be released at the snow route stop. Without a parent or guardian present or note, the student will be transported back to the primary school. For additional information on bus routes, please call First Student at 360-841-7099, ext. 1. Student and staff safety is our primary concern when making these decisions. If you feel that you cannot safely get your child to school or the bus, you may keep your child at home. Weather-related absences are excused if they are reported to the school by a parent or guardian.

Los autobuses las escuelas del norte recorrerán las rutas de nieve. Esto incluye la recogida por la mañana y el regreso al final del día. Si su parada de autobús de ruta de nieve es diferente a su parada regular, entonces al final del día un padre o tutor legal debe de encontrarse con su estudiante de la primaria en la parada de ruta de nieve, o el estudiante debe de tener una nota en sus archivos escolares en la oficina de la escuela para que el autobús lo deje en esta parada de nieve. Si un padre o tutor legal no está presente o si no hay una nota, el estudiante será transportado de regreso a la escuela primaria. Si siente que no puede llevar a sus estudiantes a la escuela o a la parada del autobus con seguridad, usted los puede dejar en la casa y llamar a la escuela para pedir una ausencia justificada.
