Office closures and available resources

Dear families of Battle Ground Public Schools,

As the weekend approaches, we want to provide information about how to reach us and remind you about the resources we currently have available. All information is on our School Closure webpage.

District office and schools closed to the public
For the health and safety of our staff, we are following state recommendations to observe social distancing and work from home. The district office will be closed to drop-in visits beginning Monday, March 23. If you need to reach staff in the district office, please call (360) 885-5300 to request an appointment. Our school buildings are also closed to the public. Next week, please call the school office with any questions.

All buildings closed spring break
The district office and all school buildings will be closed during spring break, March 30-April 3.

Meals

Grab and go lunch and breakfast is available to children ages 0–18

Students need to be present to pick up their meals.

When: 11 a.m. to noon weekdays, through March 27 and April 6–24 (meals will NOT be served spring break, March 29-April 3)

Where: All of our primary schools, Amboy Middle, and BGHS and PHS

Families are strongly encouraged to pick up meals at one of the 10 BGPS locations that are set up to distribute sack lunches/breakfasts. However, families that are absolutely unable to get to schools to pick up meals in person can request meal delivery to your child’s bus stop. For those who need it, meal delivery is set to begin on Monday, March 23 (meals will not be delivered during spring break). To request delivery of meals, please complete the online request form to get started. If you are unable to complete the form online, you may call the Meal Delivery Request Line at (360) 885-6614. However, please note that completing the online request form is the most efficient method of requesting meal delivery.

Home Learning Resources
As we continue to develop a variety of educational options for at home learning, we have created a web page with links to many online learning sites that you can access now. Students are not required to use these sites, but we hope you find them useful for encouraging students to stay engaged until other options become available. You can search our new Home Learning Resources page by keyword or browse by subject and grade level. We will continue to add additional learning sites and videos describing these sites in the coming days, so check back often.

Update Contact Information
Please make sure that your contact information (email and phone number) is correct in Skyward Family Access. To update your phone and email, please log in to Skyward and click Student Info in the left column. Then click Request Changes for [child], and in the drop down menu choose Family Information. Update your information and click Save. Please do this for one child, and we will make sure the information is updated for all of your children in our schools.

Thank you and stay healthy,

Battle Ground Public Schools
