Battle Ground Public Schools will offer Transitional Kindergarten for 4-year-olds.

The Pre-K program is funded through state apportionment and will be available at no cost to children who will be four years old by Aug. 31 and meet the eligibility requirements.

We have closed the submission / interest form due to a high number of interested families. We will offer Transitional Kindergarten next year, watch this webpage for updates.

Where will Transitional Kindergarten take place?

The district will offer the program for all eligible students at Captain Strong Primary, Daybreak Primary, Glenwood Heights, Tukes Valley Primary and Yacolt campuses.

Is there transportation?

Yes! Transportation be provided through our buses, First Student.

Is it a full-day or half day program?

It is a full-day program, from 9 a.m. to 3:40 p.m.

I filled out the form. What are the next steps and the process on when we will know if we were approved or not?

In June, families will be contacted to let them know whether or not their child was eligible for the transitional kindergarten program.
