Now enrolling 2024-25 transitional kindergarten applications

Welcome!

Transitional kindergarten is for 4-year-olds

Transitional kindergarten is a full day, no-cost early learning program for children who will be 4-years old by August 31, 2024. The program focuses on developmentally appropriate skills and social and emotional development. Students must meet eligibility requirements, and space is limited.

Research shows that students who have access to education prior to beginning kindergarten display higher literacy skills, math abilities and skills such as remembering rules and controlling impulses.

More information about the program is available through OSPI. Board policy #2230
