CTE Dual credit

CTE Dual Credit is a great way to get college credit for some of your high school classes.

  • You need to get a "B" or better and show you know the class material well.

  • Just make sure to fill out the enrollment paperwork! Ask your school counselor.

  • Students must check with their future college to see if they accept the Dual Credits from Battle Ground Public Schools.

Career and Technical Education (CTE) Dual Credit is a partnership with Clark College and Lower Columbia College that provides high school students the opportunity to earn college credit in qualifying high school classes.

  • Taking the AP class will help you get ready, but you do not have to be in the class to take the test.

  • Always ask the college you want to attend if they will accept your AP credit.

  • More information about required test scores and the transferability of credits is on The College Board website.

  • If you are in 11th or 12th grade, you can take college classes and get both high school and college credit at the same time.

  • If you qualify for free or reduced-price school meals, you won't have to pay for this program.

  • This program is a great way to start college early!

  • Fee waivers are available for students who qualify for free or reduced-price school meals

  • This program is for 11th and 12th graders who want hands-on training for high-demand jobs.

  • You can earn college credit and certifications that show you are ready for a job that pays well.

  • You will spend half the day at the Vancouver campus for either one or two years of study.

In addition to learning technical skills, students can participate in work-based-learning in several fields of study.
