Chartwells has been Battle Ground Public Schools' nutrition services provider since the 2024-25 school year.

Chartwells staff members serve approximately 1,400 breakfasts and 4,400 lunches per day.

Beyond serving meals, Chartwells engages students in different ways, like letting them vote on the best pizza shape and their favorite items on the menu. They provide food samples to introduce students to different cultures and help students understand how nutrition can affect things like their mood. Each spring, Chartwells also holds a cooking competition for fourth graders.
