The regular meeting began at 6 p.m. and included:

• Student voice from Pleasant Valley primary and middle schools, River HomeLink and Battle Ground High School

• Recognition of Bev Jones, the Reflector’s 2023 Person of the Year and a dedicated volunteer in BGPS

• Recognition of Faith Tarrant and Colleen O’Neal by Reps. Stephanie McClintock and Greg Cheney

  • Tarrant, a junior at Prairie High School, is a three-time state champion in wrestling.

  • O’Neal is president of the Battle Ground Education Foundation, which is currently celebrating its 30th year

• April 2024 Employee Recognition Awards

• Approval of the consent agenda

• New business—the board voted unanimously to approve the following:

  • Revision of policy 5011 – sexual harassment of district staff prohibited

  • Resolution B-24: Chelatchie property surplus

  • Contract for districtwide HVAC filter service

  • Bidding of the Pleasant Valley Primary classroom addition project

  • Easements for the city of Battle Ground at the CAM Academy campus

  • Boundary line adjustment for the city of Battle Ground at the CAM Academy campus
