Regular meeting

The regular meeting began at 6 p.m. and included:

• Agenda approval

• Committee and director reports

• Citizens' comments

• Superintendent and staff updates

• Approval of the consent agenda

• No old business

• The board voted unanimously to approve the following new business items.

  • Addison Juhnke from Prairie High School was selected to join the board as its new student representative. Hailee Natiola was designated the alternate rep. Next year, Addison will serve alongside student representative Toby Nguyen from CAM Academy. She will replace Itzel Contreras-Montiel, who graduated from Prairie this month. Congratulations, Addison!

  • Pacific Office Automation copier lease: This new lease for copier equipment will result in a $130,000 savings for the district over five years.

  • New Instructional Materials Committee member: Rachel Cristaudo was selected to join the committee through spring 2028.

  • Contract for demolition of the 450 building and a small modular building used for storage. This will make room for the new Futures building and construction trades building. The work is funded through impact fees and a capital levy approved by voters in 2024.
