The special meeting/work session started at 4 p.m. and included a presentation on the proposed budget for the 2026-27 school year. The board of directors will vote on the 2026-27 budget at their meeting on Aug. 24. This meeting will include an opportunity for public comment.

The board voted unanimously to approve the following new business items.
Approval of agreement with Vancouver Public Schools regarding services for students with unique behavioral needs that cannot be served in BGPS. These services qualify for safety net funding from the state.
Revised policy 2161 regarding special education & related services for eligible students
Contract for Battle Ground High School secure entry. This project will be funded through the 2024 voter-approved capital levy.
