65th annual art show

The District Art Show is a tradition that began in 1959. Battle Ground High School art teacher Bob Peck,
in collaboration with Battle Ground city librarian Florence Rieck, started the show as a way to share students’ artistic talents with the community.
The District Art Show has morphed and grown over the years and is still a favorite event for students, parents, teachers and community members.

At the primary and middle school levels, students receive first, second and third-place awards, in addition to honorable mentions. At the high school level, awards are given for 2D art, 3D art, digital art/video and photography. Special awards include Best in Show, Superintendent Award, Bob Peck Award, School Board’s Choice and People’s Choice. Awards will be announced during the May 28 school board meeting.

Voting for the People’s Choice Awards is now available! The deadline to vote is May 19.
