Math knowledge and teamwork on display at ninth annual event

Middle school students matched math wits in the 9th annual Southwest Washington Math Challenge on April 20. Representing six schools, students completed tough mental math problems, a College Bowl competition and individual and team rounds. Congratulations to all of the participants and their coaches!

Amboy Middle School

• Benita Clark: First place seventh grade individual award, first place individual from Amboy and tied for first place seventh grade mental math award
• Arlo Rotschy: Second place individual from Amboy
• Amboy team 805: Third place eighth grade team. Team members include Morgan Kulla, Laya Hendricksen, Chanelle Stenersen and Natalie Rosenlund

• Jackson Holmgren: Tied for second place seventh grade individual award
• Hunter Lopez: Tied for first place seventh grade mental math award
