Update on collective bargaining

Battle Ground Public Schools and Battle Ground Education Association’s bargaining teams met for several hours on Aug. 31 and Sept. 5. The teams continued to make progress toward reaching a new contract for the district’s teachers, counselors, librarians and more certificated professionals.
Our board of directors and leadership team are committed to bargaining in good faith to provide staff with wages and working conditions that are comparable to surrounding districts and within the capacity of the district’s budget.
The next bargaining sessions are scheduled for Sept. 16, 20 and 26.
