Superintendent Waters releases ‘welcome back to school’ video message
Aug. 30, 2021
Battle Ground Public Schools Superintendent Denny Waters has a pledge for parents and families as he enters his first school year leading the district.
“I am committed to strengthening our relationship with you,” Waters said in his first video message to the community. “I want to improve communication, transparency and collaboration with all groups. You have my word, I will work tirelessly to earn your respect and trust, and I will always listen.”
Waters, who took over as superintendent following the retirement of Mark Ross, previously served as deputy superintendent for four years. Waters started with the district as an administrator at Battle Ground High School in 2006 before taking over as director of the district’s executive director of special education five years later.
